Location
The place where we welcome you every day is a perfect space for stories about the finest flavours that enrich and beautify our everyday life. The small palace at Aleja Szucha 17/19 is one of the few buildings in Warsaw that survived the Second World War, and to this day stands as a silent witness to sorrows and joys long past. Warsaw’s fin de siècle, the colourful interwar years, the turbulent postwar era — each of these epochs left its mark here. It is the best of these memories that we bring back to life for you every day at the table, the bar, the piano and in the cabaret. The neo-Renaissance building, built in 1895 for General’s wife Maria Agapijew, survived every historical upheaval and the caprices of the communist era, and has since been carefully restored — today, nestled in a quiet square, it invites you to unwind over the finest cuisine and the best company. Every day, we strive to send you home richer in wonderful new memories and experiences.
Our history
We reach back and return with nostalgia to the 1920s and 1930s — a short era, but an extraordinarily vibrant one. It has survived in our memory like a table set with everything the previous centuries gave us. We try to lay that table for you deliciously and in a modern way. While respecting the past and the culinary heritage of past generations, we want to create a cuisine that is bold and draws inspiration from the present day.
We took the name Baczewski because it is more than just a brand of spirits remembered in history. The legend of this family is much more than exquisite alcohol. The Baczewskis are a symbol and synonym of good taste and style. Rooted in centuries-old tradition, they breathed an elite atmosphere, a modern lifestyle and a spirit of celebration into Polish customs. Their name was present wherever the spirit of luxury met a soul open to the finest entertainment and the art of spending time at the table.
